Grantham Tennis Club Thank you for making me a part of A Great Community

This was to meet lots of people, take part in learning tennis skills and have fun,

2016 Look Back & A fresh Canvass for 2017

2016 for me did not start how you would expect most years to start which would be looking to what the year was to bring and making the most out of it.

I got thrown  into the deep end due to my own actions, i was full of self hate, i put myself down, on top of feeling very depressed and not seeing a point to my life.
I think the most Frustrating part of this year, has been trying to get help to discover why i am the way i am. This Including My Dyslexia  & Dyspraxia which i got told by a few people i more then likely have.
The problem has been with living in lincolnshire, no funding is out there to diagnose this,
which leaves me more and more frustrated that i want to be fixed and as society puts it "Normal ".
This year has been the most Challenging, as i have had to adapt my life in so many ways.
at the start of March due to backing from support workers and friends, I took the step to start my own business.
Going through the prince's Trust  Program, Networking with Great Talents, putting my Business Plan Together and starting my Journey.
I am not ashamed to admit that the biggest threat to my business starting up, has not been, my skills or the competition. It has been my mental health, along with other issues.
If i had to say a month where things started to turn around then that month shall be September.
At the end of august I moved into a much nicer place, and every month it feels more and more like home.
I decided that in order to A. Look Good & B have a more Business like approach, a change in clothes was needed.
This also made me feel a bit more happier, and still to this day people treat me differently and take the time to hear me out. Its Strange sometimes how we humans treat people if they dont look the part and then wear nicer clothes and suddenly people want to talk to you (; AHH Life .
That month was also the time i went to Nottingham and started learning More of what my camera can do and improving my skills.
October quickly started when i heard about the closure of Grantham A & E ,
After Reading everything that had gone off, i really want to help out, the only way i knew how.
So I went to events, took Photos and Videos and slowly, Gained a community around myself, where people praised my work, showed support, and invited me to important stuff in the months to come.
Things where looking good until my depression kicked in and i had some bad weeks.
After that life picked up again.
as that month was also when The Grantham tennis club course Started put on and funded by the mental health Services.
wow is the words best to describe the course, it was the best thing that happened  to me this year.
I got to talk to people, learn skills, see amazing talent, and most important was having the best staff in the world look after you and make you feel a part of the community.
So October, till the end of December i would say have been a life changer for me.
so many business people i have met, networked with, so many events and opportunities i have had.
Although this year hasnt been the year i expected and sometimes may not have wanted, its stunned me how much support and community i have.
I just wish the funding was there to help so much more as i want to achieve many many things in life.
which leads nicely into my plans for 2017 !!!!

Fitness

I look back at my life to only see how much i let it slide by, i was to settled in my surroundings and in my life to see i was missing out on so much.
I let my fitness slide away.
towards the end of 2016 I joined Grantham running club which i dropped out after 3 runs,
My fitness was not good so I joined a gym which i go to 4-5 times a week as well as using my housemates weights.

My goal for 2017 is to Join Grantham running club again and be able to improve every week, keep up with my fitness levels, and to play even more sports.

YouTube Channels

I relaunched my own channel in 2016 However it didn't deliver the content i hoped to do.
so in 2017 now i have much better editing software i hope to turn my channel, into games, vlogs, and fun videos.

in 2016 i also started DMP WORLD although again it has not gone the way i hoped, my saying i use the most which is so true everything happens for a reason.
I am learning more and more about after effects, the changes the channel has already took has been stunning. Visually stunning that is (:

My Business channel, in 2017 is going to be much better presented, with Huge Brand companies.
To go with working on the videos will be amazing Graphics and much more.

Photography

2016 started to peak what i can do, its my soul and passion and its who i am.
its sad to say a camera can only do so much, or rather the places you go to.
so for me its exploring more, travelling, finding new and innovative ways to create master pieces.

I could go on forever how much 2017 needs to be different.

many say a new year is like a blank canvass but to me it really is,
the events that happened in 2016 made me who i am.
at times i wished things didn't happen.
but thats what made 2016 special and so different for me.
In a way i really dont know how 2017 will be for the first time in my life.
I feel empty because although i do have things i want to fight for in the mist of it all I dont.
In order to make my dreams become real, i need to have more passion, drive, motivation, skills & knowledge then ever before.
I wont rest until everything i mentioned for 2017 is done.

The Best Stew Meal in the world Made By Housemates 

I Decided For Christmas That I wanted A Roast Meal to End 2016 and Boy did i not expect what i got.

In the past I have Had Beef Roast But to be honest my Favourite Meat Has always been Gammon.
I walked into Morrison's Look on the knocked down section, to find 500 Grams Of Diced Beef which valved at 3 pounds. Beef & Gammon are always the most Expensive Pieces of meat .
I could not and would not leave it on the self as even in its packaging it already looked super yummy, tender and juicy.
Now i am not very cook with cooking, Due to my dyspraxia.
So often i get my housemates to help or i buy shop brought things.
I asked them when i got back what  is the best way to cook it and what to put with the meat to make a meal.
One housemate was very kind to put it in his slow cooker combined with gravy and a few extras .
While the other helped top the meat with more gravy to thick it up.
He also Prepared the veg and cooked it for me.
The plan was to get ready made mash, broccoli and Brussels,
However when i went back to Morrison's to get the Veg, I was gob smacked as 2.5 Kg Potatoes, along with a massive pack of Carrots and Brussels all for £1 this was such a bargain.
To say there is still Veg left for 2 more meals.
Oh and you cant have a roast without Yorkshire Puddings (: When you are surrounded By the best HouseMates in the world, that itself is a amazing feeling.
In this the festive time!! 
The best meal in the world contained ...
Diced Beef, succulent, Soft, That is o so mmmm,
Slowed cooked, with gravy, Gravy and wait ..
More Gravy,
Carrots, mashed Potato, Brussels, and you cant have a roast without Yorkshires,
This meal was the best of 2016 !!!

The channel was made to review any kind of product but have a Comedy Feel to it.
We soon Ditched that Idea as it was not us.
Over The years We connected with Big Brands
Magic Box I.N.T Aka Magic Box Toys, MunchPak , Toxic Fox, Venna V Aka YT CLUB, Colossal Crate & Many more.

We went From Uploading 3 videos a week to between 8-10 And Reached 1 Million  Channel Views with over 1,000 videos Created

During The Time of these Videos DanPendragon Was Born  A Channel For Vlogs, Gaming ,
* Other Content,

Most Of These Videos were Created with I Movie with sometimes very little effort
I made some Really cool Videos inc One of the best ones that is now lost forever.
It was A competition Video I entered Into Making  A Rocket League Music video.
I spent Days Creating This and was well Proud a moment in history for me (:

This year 2016 I Brought Back my Channel with A new Channel New look, & Much Better Quality Content.

So Being a YouTuber Is Awesome I only wish sometimes i could turn my Creative Ideas In my mind To The Video Platform .



I can Put my Hand up right now and say I always liked Looking at Pictures Taken But never Liked Watching someone take them or want to Capture something Myself.

That was Until June when I got My Funding From The Princes Trust to embark On My Business Adventure.
I went & Brought A Sony A5000 Camera. Its Not The best But For now it will do (:
I started Off By going for long walks Through My CountrySide Town Of Grantham.
Taking Pictures of anything i could and then editing them.
Throughout The months I learned What the camera can do and the settings needed in each environment i went to.

From September To This Day it when My life Changed and My Photography Career Began,
I wouldn't know what to do if i lost It.




When I first saw This website I really Did not get it and refused to be a part of it.
With not doing Photography Back then anyway Then It would have been no use to me.
1 Month After Doing Photography, I started to see how much of a impact it can Bring
to getting your Name out there and appear In google Keywords AKA (SEO)
Its not only a Platform To Share Photos with your friends but the Chance to Network With other Photographers.
To Optimize the best Performance To get Those Pictures out there.
You have to use HashTags For Example This Morning I Used About 10 Different ones.
Within a hour I had Over 100 likes, Inc Comments , within 4 hours over 300 likes and still Growing.

As I mentioned Above About Funding This was Needing to set out my Business plan.
my Business is To Create YouTube Videos For Businesses.
This itself Is a whole new Challenge for me.
Why you may ask? Well I need to Not only Be a Director,but Have Creative Ideas.
Through My Skills, experience & Researching I set out to be a Video Producer.
After Effects along with Photoshop, Lightzone, and of course the most important
one Premier pro.
Being a Video Producer is more then Taking Footage and quickly slinging a video Together.
You have to scope the place your Filming  Out. Arrange Times, Location,
If anyone wants to be Interviewed, what they are going to say, where they need to be.
Working out in your head, what clips flow, what effects needed, & Much More.
It is no easy job and many times can be very stressful.
However When that video is Doing so well and its Helped that business / People out.
Its worth it, to see People Taking Their Interest you.
To me Its something I only Dreamed about when Being a YouTuber.
I want to do so much in my life , i have tons of drive, passions, ideas
I want to excel, Onto better things. Again doing all this by myself is its own Reward.



When I was 18 I went to college At Confetti Studios In Nottingham.
I Studied DJ Skills, How to Record Instruments, Live sessions, Recreating Movie Scenes,
With Sounds Recorded In real life. For Example there was a scene in The Incredibles Movie.
Where Mr Incredible Slammed down onto a moving Car.
We Created that sound From the real world using Different Techniques.
This was at first Diploma Level & National.
I always had passion for sitting down on a computer and seeing what i could Produce.
I remember the times  Using good old Dance Ejay to Create Tracks, it was a laugh.
I have used many Programs to Produce music But i would have to say.
The one i am using now combined with Visual effects In after Effects is my best work so far.
with my Revamped skills, and looks, I also wanted to Revamped My Musical talents.
So I got my head down and studied Online, To Create DMP World

   
 For me I set a target that i will achieve one day of Getting artists Together.
To help Promote Their Musical Talents Onto My DMP WORLD YouTube Channel.
This Channel hosts many of my own work with visual effects,
So the idea is to do the same but with Other people (:

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children Review | Daniel Marshall

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

I watched this Movie a few days a go and wow i could watch it over and over it was brilliant.
I didn't know until i looked on IMDB  After watching the Film that it was directed by Tim Burton.
Although there are elements of his style that made me question if it was by him.
Many stars are also in this movie such as Samuel L Jackson if you haven't got a clue who he is wow you need to watch more movies (:

Judi dench, Chris O Dowd and many other famous actors.

The main story line without going into spoilers is a place of wonders, detailed artwork coming to life and amazing twists and turns.

A young boy who is a outcast to everyone because he thinks that there are monsters and mythical beings in the world told by his Grandfather.
Until one day him and his father go to the location where their stories as such were told.
To find out that he becomes in a immersive world, full of danger, kids who arent normal but gifted. Monsters tall and short, one of which is played by Samuel L Jackson and i have to say once again his acting is brilliant.
The boy helps out in the battle between good and evil and well if i said anymore you wouldn't be able to experience the stunning visuals.

This story, movie and experiencing makes you think your a kid again and Thats part of why i love this movie.
It may be a little slow at times sure, and it may not be in ultra ultra HD, or have explosions, etc but a movie is not all about that.

Its the story line, the characters who you fall in love with and feel a bond .
I will say that in this ever growing world of visuals, and technology.
I fear for the film industry. Just like The gaming world i have witnessed many epic Creations, The vibrant of colors, The powerful stunning visuals that leave your mouth wide open. However in my Opinion this has a big impact on the plot that is trying so hard to portray.
I believe in experiencing all this but without the core story it is fruitless and can be its downfall.
Lucky enough from what i have been seeing the film industry has yet to completely go down to that level.
I hope it never does.
Going back to the movie itself i would rate it 10 out of 10 and hope so much they take their time, dont let money go to there heads or thinking that the next movie if they made one has to be epically stunning In graphics .
even if it takes 5 years to make it will be worth its wait.
I love the creativity of Tim Burton and many others who work on movies like this.
I may be only 25 but i am still a kid at heart and i never want to lose it.
Watching this movie made me wish so much that i was in a world like the kids were.
Having powers not being normal who wants to be normal Thats just boring.
I would put this in my top 10 all time favorite movies and in my top 5 for the most Creative open world, stunning, plus killer storytelling ever.
sometimes you almost wonder if Jk Rowling would get involved in the upcoming movies and make it into a franchise.
Creative writers, Film producers is what a truly amazing experience is all about.
Ok we all like different films, sometimes wanting to watch something with action, comedy etc.
But this watched in bed, with friends out a night out in the cinemas is memories.
As a video Producer i get to not only enjoy the movie, but think explore , learn and try to think how i would recreate scenes.
thinking how much effort and time goes into creating a 10 second clip that could impact the whole movie.
Sometimes people watch a movie and go meh that was ok but cant grasp how it was made.
i wished in a way this movie was made 5+ years a go around the time harry potter was out.
I think it would get more hype and more of the younger Generation would get on board.
I would say though this movie is not just for kids, its to be loved and enjoyed by anyone.

In my vision of Movies to come i want authors, Actors, story tellers, and Film Makes\ Producers to come together share ideas as the world is a wonderful place and the people are so creative it shocks me everyday.

I ask you not judge this Film, on the graphics, But the plot lines, sit back and enjoy,
and feel a part of whats going on (:

How Depression & Anxiety stop you from living how you want to live

as you can see from the picture i try to dress up nice, to not only be more professional but put  on a personality.
to stand out if you wish and to hide my problems within.
I am fully aware that i am posting this on my business page for posts about my business content and other videos+ blog ideas.

I understand the consequences of this, since this is the only platform i post blogs i felt i needed to voice how i feel and to let others know \ give advice.

I have always suffered from depression and anxiety from a very young age.
My school did not want to know or help and i thought very alone for years battling trying to find my place in this world. To this day i still suffer and it has stopped me from achieving what i set out to do.
Now before i carry on i would like to first say sorry for my spelling and grammar. its not amazing and never will be. I also would like to point out for those who do comment and dont suffer with these issues to take the time to do research and to understand.
Across my travels i have come across a few people who point out and sometimes not in a nice way that i am just stupid, that i am lazy, i set myself out to fail and that i should grow some balls and suck it up.
Depression and aniextty  work in so many different ways and form. what works for some people may not work for other. this can be because of a number of things for example their past, they may have other underling issues which on top of their current ones cause more problems.
Until you really get to know that person you can only offer the basic advice and try to talk to know to get the bottom or root of the issue.

At this start of 2016 I was lost, i had no idea what i wanted in life or how to take each other.
Many days i would just sit in my room all day barley doing anything. this really played on my state of mind, and body. Depression not only messes with your brain but your body.
You have lack of motivation, your body goes weak to the point walking downstairs to cook something to eat is a major task for you .
I got help from several people inc getting counselling.
I was told the wrong things on how to help me which again may work for others for e.g the way i was eating, getting out the house to do something even if its small.
I tried many of these things to only find it suppressed it for only a few hours. This was more damage as it was worth because i would get more upset,frustrated and depressed.
for many months i just wasted my life away. worrying on how others would treat me how i looked.
I started wearing jeans and shirts what i used to wear in college instead of wearing trackies and comfty clothes what made feel happy. WHY ? to feel a part of the community to look the part and to put on a outfit as such to push back the bad thoughts and think if i look nice then it will make feel good.
This again only helped a little bit but did not address the underling issue .
One morning i woke up and said enough is enough i need to get out and start socializing.
I researched and fount a website called meetup.com a place where you could go for meals, pub quizzes and much more with local people in groups .
I knew i would struggle because i dont like talking to new people, i get panic attacks, if its crowded i feel trapped . But i knew i couldnt keep living the same cycle.
Sadly after going to 3 meetings with the group i left and didnt want to be a part of it anymore but i couldnt handle being round others of that number.
so i went back to the drawing board,
with help from people they pointed in the direction of taking my skills and experience of making videos intro a business.
This sidetracked my issues and made focus on something i was very driven about.
as time past my issues kept coming and going.
I got new equipment for my start up as i was becoming a business person.
this helped me get out explore the countryside, to learn about the camera i had got and what it can do.
and from there things seem to only get better with turning my hobby into a great passion and i could see it going places.
i met a lot of businesses, networked and started to build a community  where people accepted me and could see how hard i work and how much i was good at photography.
Although a lot of good things was happening i was still having days where despite going for long walks having a business look and being confident talking about my business to others. my issues where still keeping me from advancing my business.
there are days still where i wake up knowing i have videos to edit / photography. knowing what i need to know and how but not have the drive to do so, feeling depressed, lonely and other things.
I look at myself in the mirror and say this is not me.
Ok i may be confident when i wear this clothes, my life might be good and people treat me with more respect when i look the part but still this is not me.
I feel i must wear what i want, wear what makes you feel comfy not wanting to look smart because of fear of judgement again.
sadly because of my issues this has stopped me from starting up my business not because i dont know how to but because i dont have the heart to. some days i could run miles so to speak and achieve great things within the community. others i feel i want the day just to go so the next day might be better.
I am no expert on how to deal with these as i still suffer and always will, depression with other things is not something you can ever get rid off. it sits deep in your thoughts way back waiting for the right moment to string and target you.
My own advice i have took and would give to others which is to help not cure.
Find something you enjoy like a hobby, and no watching tv or hanging out with friends isnt one of them.
i mean something when your all alone its just you and the world.
maybe your a good drawer, or you can sew, paint, your good at sports, everyone is good at something, wether your troubled brain goes your stupid etc doesnt mean there isnt something that you can do and people like what you do.
This can help so much,
for me it has been tennis. when i am there i feel free because i am not thinking of bad thoughts but the rush of adrenaline through my body as i want to win and do well + have a laugh with others.
There is never a cure who what the society call wanting to be normal because normal is created to make people believe that you are 100 percent sane which is wrong. we all have issues some may not have shown just yet or you may not be aware of it.
there is no perfect being we are all humans and different at that.
You should always never being forced to do something you want to do,
ok it might help you but its doing is creating a path in your brain to store your thoughts until a bad day comes were its not a bad day its like hell because its been bulidng up inside for a long time .
I really do want to find people who may have these issues and help them.
as helping each other can only lead to better things.
Depsite everything i still try 100 percent to be happy to achieve to have dreams and goals that i will make true, my will is strong and i will keep pushing even if its takes 10 years more then i hoped.

When I first started Doing Photography Vs Now

Hello Everyone I wanted to let you see my progress from when I first Started out Taking Pictures vs My work as a photographer now.
Back In June I think it was I applied to get funding from The Prince's Trust  which i owe them a lot because if it  wasn't for getting the money to buy the equipment needed then i wouldn't be creating these images nor Doing Video Production.

I have to Admit I never enjoyed taking Photos in the past, i didn't even like watching someone take them either. Although I did appreciate seeing the finish Product.
The Day i got my camera which is the Sony a 5000 see below.


As with most people who get new Tech I wanted to make sure it was ok and to test settings with both video and Photography.
This was the first pic i took see below

It was not the best Quality nor had it been put into a editing Program.
Around this time at well i suffered from very bad Anxiety and Depression.
I still suffer to this day but not as bad.
For me Photography was a excuse to start with to not only get me out of my room where i spent most of my day but to do something different and go for long walks.
This Helped with my problems a little bit so i kept at it.
Most Days i was out for at least 2 hours + capturing flowers, and Views the most like below.


This was when i started to bringing  Editing into the process.
I used a Program Called Lightzone which is free.
Although I was editing them I now look back and say to myself why for 2 reasons did i capture that.
Its not only the wrong settings on the camera but my editing to be honest was rubbish.

We all got to start somewhere and learn to improve that is what life is about learning from your mistakes.

Indeed i did just that as you can see from the top of the page.
That was Taken In Nottingham, where i spent about a hour experimenting with different settings Inc HDR Which i had never heard of until i watched a Sony Conference about it.
I looked into it and i was just overwhelmed with the result to me it looks part painted more so around the man that was walking in the picture.

Combined with the right settings on both the camera and editing skills I Created 2 outstanding Pictures.

Although my work has very much improved again from this point Is was a milestone one of those breath taking photos that to me is a master piece.

We now move on the last 2 months, November and December.
After really studying The camera and The Editing Software i felt ready to start working with clients and covering events,
The turning point for me was covering and still to this point The Closure of Grantham A & E.


You dont have to live in a massive city to Build Such a kind and loving Community.
My work posted in Fighting for Grantham Hopstial got over 1,000 likes and within a 1 hour space over 300 likes, I had never had that much support everyone was saying nice pics, sharing, commenting, Not only was this getting my work out there but people was showing a great empathy to the cause.
So i started sharing my work out and offering a free Photo shoot so i can once again improve my work, get my name out there and Build Connections.

A Chap called Paul Short Contacted me Over Taking Pictures Of his Subaru lmpreza UK Turbo 2000.

This really brought my skills out and Built my confidence working with clients.
From Turning something to get my depression away to being able to network and work with clients for me is a great achievement.
Ok i may not have the Best Equipment in the world nor the best Pictures but the amount of support i have got and the people i meet is just magical and would never trade that in for anything.

Transformation of DMP WORLD

Hello Everyone At the start of July I Created the Brand DMP WORLD
DMP stand for Dan Media Productions which is the video production company i am starting
I also Have DMP Photography. As you can see i like covering all kinds of media as i like being creative.
I studied Music Technology First Diploma and at national level when i was around 18.
This was at confetti studios In Nottingham.
The Idea what i want DMP WORLD to be is a place for artists who are just starting out and may not know how to best get there music at there.
I want to Promote  artists On Soundcloud and YouTube,
At this current time It hosts the music i am Producing On Both Platforms.
DMP World is always striving to evolve with the current scene.
as you can see below from when it first started to now, Its been a hard working progress but a enjoyable one.

Being A Video Producer , Photography, Music Producer and Youtuber

Hello My Name Is Daniel Marshall. As you can see above this is me, Looking Professional which is how i take life,
At the start of march I Decided i wanted to use my knowledge of the video Industry and my skills as being a YouTube Content Creator to start my own business as a video Producer

My mind is always active to new possibility.
how did i get to this point?
its really simple i worked hard studying online watching videos, to learn the skills i needed and then spent days and days practicing working out whats works and doesn't.
it also helps seeing things so differently to other people.
At the moment my love for photography grows more and more everyday.
here is a example of my work that i hope to keep improving

The above Picture was my first Shoot with a client , that i worked long hours with different settings in the editing program, when i was with the client i made sure to take over 100 shots, inc different positions and angles, when I finally edited all of the shots took from the day. It turned out i had over 50 different edits that i was very proud off and loved the whole experience.



In this shot i was walking to play tennis and there was a stunning park with different play equipment.
So I thought through what kind of shots i wanted and got this, i wanted to capture it as if someone was trying their hardest to get to the top (:

So as you can see i am a bit of a dabbler i like trying my hand  out in different sectors to see if i enjoy it and what i can create.

I will now go into something i also love experimenting with and want it to keep growing.

so i mentioned i love making music as well, it is something i have had spikes of interest here and there,
However since around July when i got some new software i enjoyed sitting for hours and create different genres of music.
This Month which when this is posted is November 2016  I Brought all apps for Adobe Creative Cloud and studied hard because i wanted to Create Music with Visual Effects, which after learning a lot and need learning I came up with the following

I wanted to take things to the next level and learn how to produce Video for business, like you see on tv adverts and other advertising networks.
The whole experience of directing, learning different techniques and coming up with a really Professional video is the best feeling in the world.
You get to network with people in the same industry as well , so meeting photographer, music producers, and even Video Producer, as well as meeting other business, and talking to some inspiring people.
In the last month i have learnt so much and i love it so much its a awesome feeling, to do what you love.
